| Murat F. Karsi Biography
Dr. Murat F. Karsi A well-recognized expert in communication systems theory and design, Murat has 20 years of experience in technical design and implementation of communication systems. Murat is the founding president of TosiaComm. Under his leadership, TosiaComm was chosen as the key design source for several military and commercial communication design projects since 2004. Many of the resulting system designs from these projects are now deployed and working successfully in the field. Murat continues to be a key contributor for internal research and development, and external contracting projects for TosiaComm. Prior to founding TosiaComm, Murat held several senior technical management and engineering positions including Director of Systems Engineering at Prominent Communications of San Diego, Director of Advanced Development at Ellipsis Digital Systems of Carlsbad, California, and design team lead and engineering positions in the Wireless Communications Design and Advanced Development Units of IBM, Texas Instruments, Alantro Communications, and CommQuest Technologies. Murat received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles specializing in digital communication systems. He is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is the inventor of several patents and author of several publications on digital communications systems.
